Obituary of James William Hayes
Funeral services for Mr. James William "Jimmy" Hayes are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dalyn Helbling and Bro. Danny Thomas officiating. Interment will be held at Stevenson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, February 23, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at Golden’s.
Mr. Hayes passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the age of 68. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Crossett, AR, where he was baptized August 17, 1958. Mr. Hayes served the United States Army stationed in Pleiku Vietnam Headquarters 52nd Battalion, and did a tour of duty in Korea. He also had an enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. Jimmy will be lovingly remembered and missed by many as a good friend and a part of the family.
He is survived by his adopted family, Gale and Debbie Rogers and Mike Antley; great niece, Laura Wright and husband Steve; great-great nieces, Priscilla Wright and Porshia Wright.
Mr. Hayes is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Brutus Hayes and Lena Ottyce Hickman; sisters, Bonnie Freeman, Margaret Louise Witte, and Florian Freeland.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Antley, Mike Faulkenberry, Steve Hebert, Joe Kinney, Chris Hughes, and Gary Parrish.
