Obituary of Marlene Tullis
Funeral services for Mrs. Marlene Tullis, age 84, will be held at 2 PM Friday, May 4, 2018, at the First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Dwight Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Tullis, a resident of Bastrop and a homemaker, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Tullis was a member of First United Pentecostal Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Tullis loved working with her flowers and in her garden, and was an extremely good cook and loved cooking for her family.
Mrs. Tullis is survived by two sons, Alton Tullis and wife Janet of Bastrop, LA, Willard Tullis of Bastrop, LA; two daughters, Helen Stewart and husband Calvin of Beekman, LA, Linda Foster and husband Donald of Bastrop, LA; one sister, Patricia Lowe and husband James of Lake Charles, LA; eight grandchildren, Tamara Darling, Melony Mason and husband Shane, David Ritzell and wife Wendy, Jeremy Foster and wife Amanda, David Newton, Joshua Higginbotham and wife Julie, Joshua Tullis and wife Raya, Jessica Hemphill and husband Jeff; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Tullis is preceded in death by her husband, Willard P. Tullis; parents, Earl and Estelle Scott; three sisters; and four brothers.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
