Obituary of Stanley Dewayne Robinson

Funeral services for Stanley Dewayne Robinson, age 80, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in the Hughes Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.

Mr. Robinson, a house contractor, member of the Masonic Lodge and Korean War Veteran, passed away May 4, 2018 at Morehouse General Hospital. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was always working. Among his hobbies were, hunting, fishing, entertaining and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife of 61 years, Seba Jenean Robinson; daughter, Teresa Robinson Stock and Joe Bob Johnson; sons, Tiamon Robinson and wife Sheila, Wayne Robinson and wife Patty, Larry Robinson and Bridget; sisters, Katie Hart and husband Russell, Carolyn Joiner and husband George, Jan Wilkerson and husband Melvin; grandchildren, Chandler Robinson, Skylar Artigue and husband Nick, Courtney Holt and husband Bradley, Laura Armstrong, Laycee Robinson; great grandchildren, Pierce Stanley Armstrong, Camden Holt, Tanner Harper, Brave Artigue; special daughter in law, Dee Robinson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Jewel Robinson and a brother, Sonny Robinson.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Tim Musgrove, Bubba Stevenson, Ray Wilkerson, Evan Wilkerson, Joe Bob Johnson, Joe McCarver, Seth Norsworthy and Matt Floyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Norsworthy, Bill Sutton, Melvin Wilkerson, Glen Cook, John Burton Talley and Jerry Freeland.
