Funeral services for Mrs. Marguerite Guice, age 89, are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Rev. Casey Johnson and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Marguerite Guice has been a pastor’s wife for most of her married life. She and her husband, Patrick M. Guice, labored together building many churches and congregations throughout Louisiana. Her love for the Lord consumed her daily activities through prayer, visiting in the hospitals, preparing meals such as chicken and dumplings and four layer delight, being the church pianist, counseling hurting hearts in prison and out and supporting her husband of over fifty years.

She has been passionately devoted to her family. She raised two sons, Gary and Les Guice, both who cared deeply for her. Gary is the music minister at Bonita Road Baptist Church and is married to Sharon. They have three children: Toby, Leigh and Claire and seven grandchildren. Les is the president of Louisiana Tech in Ruston and is married to Kathy. They have three boys: Chad, Kyle and Bret and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Guice is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick M. Guice; parents, Joseph Calvin and Modie Griffin Rowe; grandson, Jamie Guice; siblings, Mamie Brady, Joyce Kennedy, Billie Joe Rowe, Lucy Trevillion, J.P. McKnight, and Fred McKnight.

Pallbearers will be Chad Guice, Kyle Guice, Bret Guice, Toby Guice, Tripp Jones and Zack Guice.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Bonita Road Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bonita Road Baptist Church Music Ministry at 7204 Pine Grove Loop, Bastrop, LA 71220.
