Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Helen LaVerne Jackson, age 92, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lisa Mayo officiating.

Mrs. Jackson went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2018. She was born on February 8, 1926 in Vilonia, Arkansas to John and Ida Stocks. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reverend Henry L. Jackson and a son, John Jackson.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Savage and husband Buddy, of Collinston, LA; grandchildren, Dee Tubbs and husband Steve, of Bastrop, LA, Jamie Donaldson and husband Sam of Sterlington, LA, Mem Driver and husband Thomas, of Collinston, LA, Josh Jackson and wife Ashley, Jacob Jackson, of Baton Rouge, LA, and Jocelyn Jackson, of Bon Wier, TX; nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; special daughter-in-law Vickie Tomplay; and numerous extended family members.
  
Mrs. Jackson served as a pastor’s wife for fifty-eight years, playing the piano and leading the choir.  She loved her family and working in her yard growing beautiful flowers.  She enjoyed crocheting and giving her family and friends home-made gifts.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Josh Jackson, Jacob Jackson, Zach Tubbs, Murphy Tubbs, Hagan Beebe, Sully Edwards, Damian Edwards, and Doyle Murphy.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18, 2018, from 1 - 2 PM service time at Golden Funeral Home.
