Obituary of C. E. "Shorty" Aulds

Funeral services for Mr. C.E. “Shorty” Aulds, age 86,  are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, August 23, 2018  at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, Louisiana with Bro. Kurt Auger, Bro. Don Richmond, and Bro. Alan Miller officiating. Services will be under the direction of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop. Interment will follow in Choudrant Memorial Cemetery, Choudrant, Louisiana.

Mr. Aulds retired from South Central Bell after forty years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmerville where he had served as a deacon since 1969. Mr. Aulds also served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene Aulds; sons, Andy Aulds and wife Emily of Houston, TX, Robert Aulds and wife Melissa of Ocala, FL; sisters, Helen Davis , and Ophelia Tatum and husband Johnny, both of Choudrant, LA; and grandchildren, Hannah Aulds, Hayden Aulds and Brodie Aulds.

Mr. Aulds is preceded in death by a infant son, Charles Aulds; and his brother, Virgil Aulds.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Yelton, Don McClanahan, Jay McCallum, Jimmie Odom, Wayne Cunningham, Ben Joe Riser, Bob Tom Riser, and Randy Pyles. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmie Doolittle, Ken Cooper, Donnie Gates, L.W. Nolan, Don Wilks, Ted Knowles, and Tim Tettleton.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 400 N. Main St., Farmerville, LA 71241

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the church.
