Obituary of Mary Catherine McKey Yelverton

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catherine McKey Yelverton, age 90, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. J.B. Yelverton, Jr officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Yelverton was born December 26, 1927 and passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018. She loved God and her family and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her brothers, Victor (Joe) McKey and wife Clara, Dane McKey and wife Jimmie; sisters, Nancy McKey Wilson, Carolyn (Kitty) McKey Whittington and husband Donnie; sons, Jerry Yelverton, Tommy Yelverton, J.B. Yelverton, Jr and wife Lisa; daughters, Cheryl LeCompte, Beverly Theriot and husband Mark; ten grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Mrs.  Yelverton is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Yelverton; father, Harry McKey; mother, Elsie Owens McKey; brothers, Richard (Buck) McKey, Harry (Teet) McKey and grandson, Darrell Dillard.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Goldens.
