Obituary of Vennie Lou Edith Hendrix

Funeral services for Mrs. Vennie Lou Edith Hendrix, age 82, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Golden Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hendrix, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Bastrop Church of Christ, a lifetime homemaker who loved quilting, sewing and spending time with family. Mrs. Hendrix is preceded in death by her husband Millard Stephenson “Hank” Hendrix; parents, Jessie and Etta Mae Griffith; and a host of other family.

Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her children, Charles Hendrix and wife Claudia of Oak Ridge, LA, Patricia Bowen and husband Terry of Bastrop, LA, Lesia Coleman and husband Johnny of Bastrop, LA, Mary Hendrix of West Monroe, LA; siblings, Irene Shattuck and husband John of Pittsburgh, KS, Freda Mae Prosser and husband Carl of Delta, CO; Grand kids, Catherine Price and husband Christopher, Carrie Allen and husband Bradley, Stephen Bowen and Wife Ramona, Laura Phillips and husband Andy, Mary Ellen Kennedy and husband Jackie, Lee Coleman and wife Rachel, Pamela McKenzie and husband Graeme; great grand kids, C.J. Price, Rachel Allen, Taylor Day and husband Nick, Kristen Strange and husband Caleb, Lane Bowen, Garrett Phillips, Mallory Phillips, Hendrix Kennedy, Gage Coleman, Jayden Lynn, Rachel Rice, Eli McKenzie; Great Great Granddaughter, Scarlett Strange.
  
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
