Obituary of Doyle Curtis Roberts

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Doyle Curtis Roberts, age 94, are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from Noon until 1:30 PM, prior to service time.

Mr. Roberts, a retired millwright and carpenter, passed away peacefully at home Monday, November 12, 2018. He was a member of Swartz Assembly of God and a World War II veteran in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman with a wonderful sense of humor. He worked for International Paper Co. for several years then went into construction and became a millwright. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and when he retired he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Doris Harris Roberts; son, Bruce Roberts (Debby); daughter, Vicki Roberts; grandchildren, Taryn Davidson, Chad Dollar ( Lindsay), Robin St. Pierre (Andre), Kelly Simpson (Kyle), Caleb Hawkins (Alex), Galen Roberts, Paden Roberts, Kristen Tarver (Adam); great grandchildren, Lake, Lennon, Lucy, Laney, Nora Kate, Abbott, Eliza, Adleigh, Adler, and Indiana “Indy”.

Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Grace Roberts; brothers, Derell Roberts, Merlin Roberts and grandson, Logan Ammons.
