Obituary of Monnie Faye Cox

Funeral services for Mrs. Monnie Faye Cox, age 90, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Moffett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m Friday at the church.

Mrs. Cox was a retired LPN having worked to the age of 75. She was charter member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Cox passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018.

She is survived by her children, Richard Charles Cox, John Russell "Rusty" Cox and wife Debbie, David Wayne Cox and wife Marilyn all of Bastrop, LA; sister, LaWanda Johnson of Carthage, MS; grandchildren, Wayne Cox and wife Heather of Star City, AR, Jennifer Bunting and husband Tyler of England, AR, Russell Cox and wife Jennifer of Shreveport, LA, Chase Cox of Bossier City, LA, Laci Renfroe and husband David of Brookhaven, MS, Missie Champagne and husband Jamie of Sterlington, LA and a host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cox is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Steven Cox; parents, Newell Monroe and Stella Mae Davis Johnston; daughter, Wanda Faye Harris; grandson, Richard Charles Cox; brothers, Elmo Johnston, Harold Johnston, J.C. Johnston, Ira Harwood and wife Addie and sisters, Ruth Harrellson and Wynona Collum Jones.
