Obituary of Barbara Marie Breed Bailey
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Marie Breed Bailey, age 87, will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2019, at Trinity Chapel in Clarksville, AR, with Rev. Joe Lancaster officiating. The interment will follow in Russell Cemetery of Ozone, AR. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Golden Funeral Home in Bastrop, LA, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Bailey, a resident of Bastrop and a retired LPN, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019. Mrs Bailey worked at Morehouse General Hospital from 1970 until 1983, she worked at International Paper Company from 1977 until 1983,and she worked at Mickels Children Infirmary from 1983 until 1996. Mrs. Bailey loved to crochet, embroidery, was an excellent crafts person, and loved to draw. Mrs. Bailey was a loving mother, grandmother, great grand mother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a loving and wonderful woman that always did what needed to be done for her family regardless of the circumstance. She always had a kind word to help uplift her loved ones when times were difficult.
Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, J.L. Bailey; daughter, Polly Poynter and husband Frank; son, Max Bailey; parents, Sarah Catherine Fortenberry Breed and Grady McKinley Breed; sisters, Virginia Alter and husband Lou, Catherine Lay and husband Norman; brother, Glen Breed and wife Wilma; and a grandson, Johnathan Nelson.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her children, Jess Bailey and wife, Kay of Ozone, AR, Robert and Nancy Bailey of Clarksville, AR, Sarah Nelson and husband Tony, of Bastrop, LA; daughter-in-law, Emily Bailey of New Braunsfel; a sister, Johnny Glantz and husband George of Hollywood, FL; grandchildren, Chris Bailey and wife Natasha of Ozone, AR, Jason Bailey and wife Hannah of Bastrop, LA, Somer Bailey of West Monroe, LA, Logan Bailey of Clarksville, AR, Kendra Thompson and husband T.W. of Kansas, Jazzmin Barthol and husband Chris of Bastrop, LA, Rose William and husband Melvin, Jennifer Ambrosen and husband John, Fabian Machuca, all of New Braunsfel, Sean and Libby Nelson of Bastrop, LA; twenty-six great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
