Obituary of Kerry Wayne Ritzell

Funeral services for Mr. Kerry Wayne Ritzell are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby White officiating. Interment will be in the Mer Rouge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden’s.

Mr. Ritzell, a retired sawyer and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the age of 69. He loved driving in John Deere Antique Tractor Pulls and fishing with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lynn Ritzell; daughters, Melanie Schrock and husband Carroll Schrock, Jr. of Oak Grove, LA; Shona Wilson and husband Max Wilson of Ruston, LA; Sherry Turnbow and special friend, Howard McBroom, Jr. of Bastrop, LA; Andrea Lynn Goodman and husband Kenny Goodman of Bastrop, LA; brothers, Bob Ritzell and wife Sharron Ritzell of Haynesville, LA,  Randy Ritzell of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Lauren Hankins, Jake McAlpin, Hannah Schrock, Mark Goodman, Josh Goodman, Madison Winkler, Cortlin Winkler, Lara Winkler; great grandchildren, Landry Hankins, Beau Hankins, Kason McAlpin, Layton McAlpin, and Robert Doyon.

Mr. Ritzell is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Ritzell; brothers, Steve Ritzell, Louie Ritzell, and Dennis Ritzell.
