Obituary of Don "Ricky" Sanders

Funeral service for Mr. Don “Ricky” Sanders, age sixty-three, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, April  19, 2019 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dusty Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Sanders, a member of First Assembly of God, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Sanders enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived his wife, Frances “Angel” Sanders; daughters, Jamie Shockey and husband Chris, Ashley Sanders; sons, Michael “Mickey” Brown, Joshua Sanders, Don “D.J.” Sanders, Jr.; grandchildren, Braxton Shockey and Crystal Brown.

Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by his father, C.J. Sanders; mother, Vocie Sanders; brothers, Travis Sanders and Bennie Sanders.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Ben Washmann, Noah Gray, Phillip Brown, Luke Carmichael, Jason Grubbs and Marty Pennington.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 19, 2019 from 12 noon - 2 PM service time at Golden Funeral Home.
