Obituary of Billy G. Coughran
Funeral services for Mr. Billy G. Coughran, age eighty-five, are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Phil Smith and Thomas Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Start Cemetery.
Mr. Coughran retired from Texaco as the New Orleans Tire, Battery and Accessory District Supervisor. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church. Mr. Coughran enjoyed leading the Nursing Home Ministry with his wife for First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Coughran; son, Mark Coughran of Monroe, LA; sister, Betty Derrick and husband Lee of McKinney, TX; brother, Roger Coughran of Huntsville, Tx; brother-in-law, Gene Roberts and wife LV of Tyler, TX.
Mr. Coughran is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Corrie Coughran; sister, Pat Roberts; and sister-in-law, Sandra Coughran.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be his nephews, Jeff Smith, Matthew Milleson, Grant Milleson, Jack Milleson, Chris Roberts and Chandler Roberts.
The Adult IV Sunday School class at First Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 AM - 11 AM service time at Goldens.
