Please share a memory of Jon Marc to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Jon Marc Post are scheduled for 2 PM, Monday, July 1, 2019, at Mt. Union Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA, with Bro. Tim Post, Bro. Chad Jackson, Bro. Buddy Boatright officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home of Bastrop.  There will be a time of visitation from 12 noon until 2 PM service time.

Mr. Post passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the age of fifty-nine.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bro. Forrest Post, and grandparents, J.W. and Odessa Post and Carl and Odessa Nash.

Survivors include his mother, Celeste Post, siblings, Jim Post, and wife Carol, Denise Boatright, and husband Buddy, Steve Post, Tim Post, and wife Carmen, and Donna Langley, and husband Steve; nieces and nephews, Gregory Post, Tanya Cole, and husband John, Casey Jackson, and wife Brittany, Chad Jackson, and wife Mandy, Brian Boatright, and wife Amanda, Danny Boatright, and wife Laura, Carrie Rookard, and husband Trey, Bonnie Ginn, and husband Blake, Josh Post, and wife Beth, Kaylon Reed, and husband Jonathon, Jacob Post and wife Courtney, Matt Bowman, and wife Amber, Morgan Johnson, and husband Riley, Stephanie Mitchell, Chris Stinson, and husband Brad; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of loving friends.

Marc was one of the most loving and caring people ever, and he loved his family with all of his heart.  He was a life-long son, companion and buddy to his father, Bro. Forrest, and because of Marc’s care, he was able to live his final years at home, until his passing in 2015.  He was a friend to, and a friend of, everyone that he met.  There was no such thing as a stranger where Marc was concerned.  He loved to sing to the Lord every opportunity he had.  He was one of the most avid Dallas Cowboys fans of all time.  Marc loved the Lord and His church, especially Mt. Union Baptist, which he always referred to as his “home church.”

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Marc's nephews, Gregory Post, Josh Post, Casey Jackson, Chad Jackson, Matt Bowman, and Jacob Post.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.

Heaven is a sweeter place now that Marc is there.
