Obituary of Opal V. Pamplin
Funeral services for Mrs. Opal V. Pamplin, age 92, are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Casey Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 12 until 2 PM service time at Goldens.
Mrs. Pamplin, a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved her flowers. One of her passions was cooking and she was very well known for the wonderful meals she prepared.
She is survived by her children, Toni J. Moore, Edward E. Pamplin and wife Adrianne; grandchildren, Tammy Huoni and husband Andrew, Stacey Corcoran, Jonathan (Tony) Gallagher, Carson Gallagher, Benjamin Emory Pamplin and wife Kessler, Haley W. Pamplin; great grandchildren, Brittany Corcoran, Jonathan A. Gallagher, Jr., and Justin Robert Vincent; numerous nieces and nephews and she was especially close to her nephew, Henry C. Boyd and his wife Patricia.
Mrs. Pamplin is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Pamplin; parents, Edward R. and Grace Boyd; brothers, Frank Boyd, Edward R. Boyd, Jr., Robert Boyd, Henry Boyd, Roy Boyd, and Huey P. Boyd; sister, Verla Faye McCready.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Huoni, Carson Gallagher, Edward Pamplin, Justin Robert Vincent, Benjamin Emory Pamplin, and Jonathan A. (Jake) Gallagher, Jr.
