Obituary of Michael Gregory "Greg" Church

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Gregory “Greg” Church are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Loveday and Bro. Shelton Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 23, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Goldens.

Mr. Church, a resident of Collinston, LA, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the age of sixty-three. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved welding. Mr. Church especially loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Rhonda Church; parents, Carl C. Church and JoAnn Church of Collinston, LA; children, Michael Darrell Church and Nathaniel “Bubba” Church of Collinston, LA; sister, Carla Rainwater of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Carter Church, Micah Church; nieces and nephews, Heather Hubbard, Cliff Rainwater and wife Kristy, Clay Church and wife Kathryn, Kim McDaniel, Arthur Carter, Daniel Carter, John Carter, Alyssa Carter, Joe Rainwater and wife Donna, and families; mother-in-law, Hazel Carter; brothers-in-law, J.R. Carter and wife Lisa, John Carter and wife Rose, and families; and numerous extended family and friends.

Mr. Church is preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Fannie Church, Robert Lee and Bama Lee Gregory; father-in-law, Floyd Carter, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Sidney Rainwater.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cliff Rainwater, Clay Church, J.R. Carter, John Carter, Paul Mormon, Josh Lebrun, Joe Rainwater, Jr., and David Crymes. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Fontenot and Michael White.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kraftman Federal Credit Union under the name of Carter Church to assist in future expenses of his grandchildren.
