Obituary of Kim Harper Rogers

Funeral services for Mrs. Kim Harper Rogers are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Rev. Mickey Bounds officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at Goldens.

Mrs. Rogers, a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the age of fifty-nine. She was an animal lover who owned her own dog grooming business called, “Pampered Pets.” Mrs. Rogers was always a huge supporter and “Band Mom” of the Farmerville High School Marching Band.

She is survived by her mother and bonus father, Lou Ann and Eugene Copeland; daughter, Julie Anne Bassett and fiancé Zachary Hyde; brother, Robert Harper and wife Cindy; sisters, Susan Coston and husband Lee, and Shelley Copeland; grandchildren, Eliah Bassett and Malakai Hyde; aunts, Pat Lochwood and husband Jim, and Wynona Shoemaker; uncle, Bob Stewart; uncle, Harry Franklin and wife Marilyn; nieces, India Coston, Payton Simone, and Isabelle Coston; cousins, Dennis Richards, Meredith Leigh Martin, Kelly Kuzite, David Standard, John Murry Franklin, Mat Smith and Tracie Shoemaker; good friends, Jeff Holloway, Carolyn and Bobby Nugent, and Nancy Burroff.

Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her fiancé, Roy Stewart; father, Robert O. Harper; grandparents, Juanita and A.H. “Doody” Harper, and Harry and Lou Franklin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Coston, Jack McCormack, Tony Tullos, Boyce Copeland, Jerry Deville, and Jeff Holloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Nugent, Dennis Hackler, and Bob Stewart.
