Obituary of Thomas Turner "Tut" Allen, Jr

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Turner "Tut" Allen, Jr., age seventy-seven, are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty-Hill Taylor Cemetery (Farmerville, LA).

Mr. Allen was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Allen was an avid fan of Mississippi State, and he enjoyed riding his golf cart, hunting, and fishing when he could. He also served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. 

He is survived by his daughters, Amy Allen Gregory and husband Brad; Ashley Allen Moreland and husband Mike; son, Thomas Duff Allen; sister, Yolanda Allen Lewellyn; brother, Lonnie Lee Allen; grandchildren, Seth Allen, Kyndall Gregory, Maurie Allen, Langston Allen, special furry companion, Bentley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Beth Hicks Allen; and parents, Thomas Turner Allen, Sr and Sarah Frances Glidewell Allen.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Sistrunk, Chris Beebe, Hagan Beebe, Tab Musgrove, John White, and Tyler Herrington. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Prestridge, Melvin Robinson, and Emmitt Cobb.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
