Obituary of Eleanor E. McMullan

Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor E. McMullan are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2019, at Bonita Road Baptist Church with Bro. Casey Johnson officiating. Interment will    follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. McMullan, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at the age of seventy-five. She was a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church in Bastrop, LA, and was known as “Granny” to everyone. Mrs. McMullan was a retired Seamstress and she enjoyed sewing, traveling, and church activities.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, William Lee McMullan; daughters, Alice Baker and husband Mike of Bastrop, LA, Jimmie Gayle McMullan of Bastrop, LA; sons, William McMullan II “Billy” and wife Diane Laing McMullan, Jacky K. McMullan and wife Bridgett, Melvin W. McMullan, all of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer Bridges, Jonathan D. Baker, Jessica B. Cote, Brandon McDonald, Becky McMullan Henderson, Amber McMullan Olden, Eleanor “Nikki” Smith, Krystal Patrick, Ragan McMullan, Kevin McMullan, Mark Anderson, David Anderson, Donyala Middlebrooks; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. McMullan is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Hales; father, James Boyte; grandchildren, MaRanda Jackson, Magan Smith, Brett Duplissey, Jr.; brother, Jimmy Boyte; great grandchild, Ethan Lisenby; and niece, Shannon Boyte Hunt.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan D. Baker, Dane Pullen, Joseph Pullen, and Mark Anderson, Jeff Philley and Donny Middlebrooks. Honorary pallbearer will be her special cousin, Pete Seymore.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Bonita Road Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
