Funeral services for Charles R. “Charlie” Williams are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Townsend officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 5 PM - 7 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams, a plant manager at Bordelon Paperboard Converting Company, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the age of sixty-two. He was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Mr. Williams enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching LSU football and listening to music. He enjoyed coaching his three sons in baseball. Mr. Williams was a hard worker who loved the Lord. 

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Townsend Williams; children, Ryan Williams and wife Ashley, Jon Ross Williams, and Landon Williams and wife Emily; brothers and sisters, Frank Williams and wife Susan, Peggy Graves and husband Charles, Phillip Williams and wife Pam, Penny Hart and husband Bob; grandchildren, Caleb Medlin, Reed Williams, Gentry Claire Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Alon Franklin and Lila Mae Williams.
