Obituary of Ruthie Lena Adams

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Lena Adams are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at 1st Assembly of God (Bastrop, LA) with Rev. Dusty Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Bonne Idee Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams, a member of 1st Assembly of God, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the age of ninety. She worked for Single Service for over twenty-five years.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her children, Raymond E. Adams, Monica Goodwin both of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Angela McDowell and husband Devon of West Monroe, LA, Priscilla Mayo and husband Jason of Bastrop, LA, Donna Lynn Rainwater and husband Joe, Jr. of Bastrop, LA, Lisa Eppinette and husband Malcolm of Bastrop, LA; great grandchildren, Joshua McDowell, Zachary McDowell, Jaycee Mayo, Chyenne Mayo, Hannah Turnbow and Clay Turnbow, Ryder Rainwater, Trey Rainwater; great great grandchildren, Mason Rogers, Wyatt Ingram; special nieces, Elsie Posern, Linda Crump, Diane Cartwright, and Kathy Tumlin. 

She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Raymond J. Adams; mother, Annie Jessie Kyle; daughter-in-law, Linda Carol Adams; grandson, Eddie Adams; and sister, Annie Marie Holdiness.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons: Jason Mayo, Chyenne Mayo, Joe Rainwater, Jr., Malcolm Eppinette, Clay Turnbow, Zachary McDowell, and Josh McDowell.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
