So sorry to hear about Randy. We met Randy through the Jaycees when he lived in Baton Rouge. Even though he moved away and many years have passed Leon and I have treasured the friendship we had. He was one of the kindest people we knew.
Randy has and always will have a special place in my heart.

To the Bennett family and others: so sorry to hear the news of Randy's passing. My family lived for years next door to them on Kraft Avenue in Bastrop. Although my family has moved from Bastrop, we always remember and cherish our years next door to the Bennett's. Times were simpler then, and wish we'd been able to stay in touch better with all of our neighbors. Randy was always smiling and good at heart. I'm sure he was a great husband, father, and citizen. He will be missed, but try and focus on the celebration of his life. That will always be with you. Thoughts and prayers are with you, Tim Arant

Randy was always a great friend and would always help you anyway he could. I am praying for God to strengthen your family at this time and in the coming days ahead as you have to go on without him.

I can say he was one of the best people I have ever meet. He was a great person inside and out. I can aunistly say that because he was my room mate for several years. Lots of great memories here and south Louisiana where we worked all over the state. THE BIGGEST project he loved with the Jaycees was the Christmas gift for needy kids he.loved that project!!! There's a thousand things people don't know about this great person but he would do with out to help people in need. The good Lord got a great angel YOU WILL BE MISSED MY FRIEND.

I have a lot of good memories involving Randy. One of them is when we would load up and go to the gravel roads in the Game Reserve to fly kites. These weren’t just any kites they were homemade and they had to be pulled behind a truck because they were so big. Randy was usually the one that stood behind the truck at the end of the rope to hold the kite until it caught wind, and as the truck was driving off he would have to run as fast as he could, catch up to the truck and jump in the back with the rest of us. He would be laughing and smiling from ear to ear the whole time. Great fun.
