Obituary of Martha Irene Carruth

Memorial funeral services  for Mrs. Martha Irene Fancher Carruth will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Carruth, a resident of Morehouse Parish for most of her life, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019, at the age of ninety-one. She worked as a nurse at Morehouse General Hospital and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Carruth enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, going to garage sales, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Linda Carruth Dimaya, Monty Carruth, Alice Carruth Hogan, and James Wade Carruth (deceased), nine grandchildren and twenty geat grandchildren.

Mrs. Carruth is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Jackson Fancher and Alpha Fancher; brothers, Charles Fancher, Mib Fancher and James Fancher; sisters, Dorothy Riels, and Mary Pollan
