Obituary of Odessa Dolan

Funeral services for Mrs. Odessa Dolan are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 29, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. P.H. Rodrigues officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. service time at Goldens.

Mrs. Dolan, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019, at the age of ninety-six. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and on the committee of the Morehouse Ride for Cancer. Mrs. Dolan was a beautician for over thirty-five years and was known for making the most beautiful porcelain dolls.

Mrs. Dolan is survived by her husband, Robert Dolan; siblings, Mildred Wall of Monroe, LA, Betty Wilson of Patterson, LA; grandchildren, Chris Allen, Jeremy Allen, Daniel Allen, Preston Carter, Holly Doss, Chris Carter; great grandchildren, Colby Allen, Austin Allen, Brett Allen,, Cade Allen, Alyssa Allen, Abby Allen, Kennedi Carpenter, Kaleb Carter, Jordan Carter, Logan Weaver, Madison Reynolds and Ryder Blake Carter.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Carter Allen; son, David Carter; her first husband, Cecil E. Carter; brothers, Leon Britton and Ernest Britton.
