Mrs. Joanne Gillen Smith, age 81, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019. Memorial funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2019, at First Baptist Church. The family will recive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. service time at the church.
Mrs. Smith, a former member of First Baptist Church, and the Red Hat and the Purple Dress Club. She loved reading and watching football, especially the Bastrop Rams. She was a graduate and cheerleader of Bastrop High School.
She is survived by her son Joseph Evans of Bastrop, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Grady W. Smith and her son David Harp Evans.
