Obituary of Bessie Lee Duncan-Norman

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Lee Duncan-Norman  will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 14, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Tillou Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Norman, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the age of eighty-five. She worked at Cherry Ridge Guest Care as a Nurses Aid for twenty years, but later worked as a Seamstress for Ditto Apparel, where she retired. Mrs. Norman was a member of Tillou Baptist Church. She liked doing things in her yard, gardening, and taking care of her grand babies. She also enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Duncan is preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Earlene Carroll; first husband, Ben A. Duncan, Jr.; second husband, Douglas Norman; son, Sam Duncan; and a granddaughter, Chloe Duncan.

Mrs. Norman is survived by a son, John Tom Duncan; grandchildren, Crystal Harvin, Samantha Duncan, Blake Duncan, Heather Duncan, Kyle Duncan, Paige Duncan; and great grandchildren, Coy Harvin, Ben Duncan, and Avery and Valerie Eubanks.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Kelley, Kyle Duncan, Steven Travis, Randy Matthews, and Caleb Almond.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Friday, December 13, 2019, at Golden Funeral Home.
