Obituary of Willis Dean Porter

Funeral services for Mr. Willis Dean Porter are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, December 26, 2019 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Porter, a retired pipe fitter, passed away Saturday 21, 2019 at the age of sixty-nine. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren. Especially, running with his partner in crime, Gaige West. He is survived by his mother, Martha Mae Porter; daughters, Jessica Dutch of Spring Field, MO, Stormy West and fiancé Craig Huff of Delhi, LA; sons, Willis Dean Porter, Jr. And wife Kristina of Memphis, TN, Shaun West and wife Tessa of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Barbara Porter, Carolyn Maddox, Susie Owens and husband Charles, all of Bastrop, LA; brother, Ralph Porter and wife Cindi of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Gaige, Lexie, Chase, Alec, Trenton, Drake, Kinlee, Kayden, Elle, Owen, Jea’ and Sya; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Porter is preceded in death by father, Willis Leo Porter; son, Bradley Ryan West; nephews, Jeffery Dean Laing, Willie Halford and niece, Cindy Owens. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Randy Porter, Derek Ouellette, Gary Don Madden, Bryan Nugent, Jerry Clack, Charles Owens, Lance Knight and Jason West. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Jones, Lewis Maddox, and Dickie Hales. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 1 PM - 2 PM service time.
