Obituary of Betty Jo Brock Matthews

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Brock Matthews are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in the Stevenson Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning at 9 prior to the service at Goldens. Mrs. Matthews, a homemaker and certified nurse assistant, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at the age of fifty-three. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with her family, work family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Truman Loyd Brock; sister, Linda Gayle Brock Harris; and brother-in-law, Ronald Westmoreland. Survivors include her husband, Odis R. “Randy” Matthews, Jr.; mother, Odell Brock Matthews; son, Timothy Allen Brock; siblings, Frank Brock, and wife Sandra, Theresa Westmoreland, Tammy Fatheree, and husband Robert, Sharon Gregory, and husband Burl, Patty Dye, and husband John, and Janie Bader, and husband Michael; sister-in-law, and best friend, Linda Collum; mother-in-law, Bertha Lillian Canon and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Cody Robertson, Chris Day, Jonathon Bader, Phillip Bader, Jerry Clingen, and John Tom Duncan.
