Funeral services for Mr. Buddy Fisher are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 28, 2019, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Mr. Fisher will be buried in Holdenville Cemetery of Holdenville, OK. Mr. Fisher, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019, at the age of ninety-three. He was a cattleman and a country boy who loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Fisher was always a man of few words, though, when he did speak, his words were of great value. He served in the Navy during World War II, on the USS Wake Island Aircraft Carrier, and once he was discharged, he joined the Army. Later on Mr. Fisher worked in Alaska doing road construction, and then attended OSU where he graduated with an engineering degree. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an FAA Engineer. Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, Hazel Jean Riles; sons, Ross Riles and wife Donya, Brad Riles; and numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Cora Fisher; sons, Brett Fisher, Steve Fisher, Gary Fisher; sisters, Christine Fisher, Alma Meddler, Maggie Welch, Margaret Byrd, Lillie Cane, brothers, Casey Fisher and James Fisher.
