Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Dewayne Armfield are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, January 12, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Stoffer officiating.
Mr. Armfield, a retired carpenter and resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020. He was always working in his yard and if he could not be found, he was in his shop. Mr. Armfield served his country as a United States Marine and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Patty Armfield; mother, Opal Armfield; daughters, Courtney Armfield, Jessica Gatte, Della Bright and husband Andy, Tori Roberts; sons, Jesse Armfield, Jr and wife Tonya, Eric Armfield and wife Tessie, DJ Vincent and wife Lisa; sisters, Darlene Kinnard and husband Richard, Sonya Britt and husband Dan; brother, Leon Armfield; twenty grandchildren; two great grandchildren, Shelbie Rose Armfield , Lola Rey Armfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Armfield is preceded in death by his father, Clites Armfield; sisters, Cheryl Brown, Vicki White, and special cousin, Eugene Cotton.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Matt Brown, Alan Michael Brown, Tyler Armfield, Hayden Schulthes, Ethan Rigmaiden, Ethan Nelson and Joshua Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Broussard, Wade Armfield and Kyle Casillas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
