Tony and I would share a table at lunch time on the Pine Bluff Unit. He would regale me with events from his colorful past. To me, they were far more interesting and entertaining than any other story I have ever heard. Multiple times I tried to persuade him to write a book about his life and times. Every time he said that no one would want to read about it. He would have been wrong. Rest well old friend, old soldier. It falls upon us to guard you as you sleep.
