Obituary of Betty Turnbow Kelley

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Turnbow Kelley are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Harmony Baptist Church, with Bro. Allan Eppinette and Bro. Casey Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 5 PM until 8 PM at the church.
Mrs. Kelley, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church who loved her family and spending time with them. Mrs. Kelley enjoyed her animals, reading, and going to garage sales.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Hugh Kelley; daughters, Marcy Murray and husband Nathan of Bastrop, LA, Michelle “Shelly” Weddle and husband Paul David of Collinston, LA; son, Bo Turnbow of Bastrop, LA; step children, Ernie Kelley and wife Stephanie of Montgomery, AL, Shari Kelley of Monticello, AR, Angel Hall and husband Greg of Bastrop, LA; sister, Rose Carter and husband Johnny of Bastrop, LA; brothers, Charles Sims and wife Lateshia of Dickerson, TX, Don Sims of Dallas, TX, JR Sims of Bastrop, LA, Jimmy Dale Sims and wife Pete of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Ashley Murray, Michael Murray and wife Jackie, Stephanie Osgood and husband Harley, Justin Weddle, Jessica Trichell and husband Austin, Bobby Kelley, Tiffany Miller and husband Troy, Billy Don Hughes, Jr., Priscilla Brown, Shawn Michael Hall and wife Amber, Melanie Hall and fiancé Louis; twenty-four great-grandchildren; special friends, Cheryl, Belinda, Rose, Gloria, Diane; and special fur baby, Brodie.
Mrs. Kelly is preceded in death by her parents, James and Vonnetta Sims; brother, Robert Sims; sisters-in-law, Irene Sims, Francis Sims, and Patti Sims.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Weddle, Justin Weddle, Joe Rainwater, Nathan Murray, Austin Trichell, Johnny Carter, and Harley Osgood. Honorary pallbearers will be Brock Jenkins and Talyn Weddle.
