Mrs. Reed, a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at the age of ninety-eight. She was formerly of Pine Bluff, AR, and was born in rural Ouachita Parish to Cleveland Flanders Slocum and Cora Moore Slocum. Mrs. Reed enjoyed reading, bridge, sewing, embroidery, and traveling.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharalyn Dupree and husband Roy, Pama Cross; son, Winston Reed, Jr.; grandchildren, Luanne Blazier and husband Spencer, Susan Dement and husband Jason, Danielle Raley and husband Matt, Carolina Dupree; great-grandchildren, Adam Blazier, Grant Dement, Alex Blazier, Jacob Dement, Bradley Blazier, Carter Blazier, and Benjamin Raley;
Mrs. Reed is preceded in death by her first husband, Victor Voss; second husband of forty-five years, Winston U. Reed, Sr.; sisters, Mae Baxter, Lillian Mason, Velva Williams, Louise Griggs; brothers, Barney, Norwood, Marvin, Maloy Slocum; and son-in-law, Randy Cross.
