Funeral services for Mr. Nolan "Bear" Williamson are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2020, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. David Sistrunk and Bro. Dusty Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson, a resident of Bastrop, LA, and member of First Assembly of God Church, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the age of eighty-five. He loved hunting, spending time with his family, and loving on his dog “Peanut.”
Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Minnie Williamson; daughters, Shelia Williamson Allan, Sharon Bradley and husband Alan, Lori Allen and husband Billy; step-daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Gaines; step-daughter-in-law, Pamela Smith; grandchildren, Caitlin Bradley, Daron Allen, Grayson Allen; step-grandsons, T.J. Tate, Maclolm Tate, Adam Smith, Ethan Smith; and four great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Greely Williamson; mother, Elmer Wilbanks Williamson; brothers, Leon Williamson, Ovie Williamson, Eldridge Williamson, Elbert Williamson; twin brother, Olan Williamson; step-brother, Noel Carson; sisters, Ceil McDaniel, Dorothy Street, Ethel Turner, Margeret Bonnett; and step-son, Larry Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be T.J. Tate, Malcolm Tate, Adam Smith, Ethan Smith, Billy Allen, and Alan Bradley.
The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service beginning at 12 PM.
