Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Downs are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, March 1, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Andy Myrick and Mr. Elva Greer officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery (Union Parish). Visitation will be held Sunday from 12 noon - 2 PM service time at Goldens.
Mr. Downs, a retired salesman and member of Trinity Assembly of God Church, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the age of seventy-nine. He loved people and was a friend to all.
He is survived by his siblings, Ann Bonner of Monroe, LA, Erma D. Harp and husband Paul of Monroe, LA, Carol Hay and husband Bert of West Monroe, LA, Evonne Peoples and husband Bill of Walnut Grove, MS, Julie Hale Langley and husband Ronald, West Monroe, LA, Kathy Beth and husband Howie of Putman Valley, NY, Dale Downs and wife Kay of Sterlington, LA; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Mr. Downs is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. H.A. Downs; sisters, Helena Rogers Patrick, Nevesa Dumas, June Holton, and Eunice Herring.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
