Funeral services for Mrs. Martha May Porter are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Carter-Nicholson Cemetery.
Mrs. Porter, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the age of eighty-eight. She worked in the garment plant for years and loved to cook for her family.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Porter, Carolyn Maddox, Ralph Porter and wife Cindi, Susie Owens and husband Charles; sister, Ruth Gunter, all of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Mrs. Porter is preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Myrtle Sisk; husband, Willis Leo Porter; son, Willis Dean Porter; grandsons, Jeffery Dean Laing, Brad West, Willie Halford; granddaughter, Cindy Owens; siblings, James Sisk, Elliot Sisk, Donnie Sisk, Delbert Sisk, and Lilly Louther.
Serving the family as pallbearers are Randy Porter, Derek Ouellette, Ralph David Porter, Donnie Paxton, Dalton Hawkins and Shaun West.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Owens, Lewis Maddox, Jerry Clack and DeWayne Hawkins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
