Carolyn Sue Bates Roy Lyles, age 77 and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Mrs. Lyles was a longtime member of Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ of West Monroe, LA. She was a 1960 graduate of Bastrop High School where she was an excellent basketball player. She graduated Northeast Louisiana University as a registered nurse and later retired as head of pediatrics with Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Lyles is survived by one son, Kregg Roy of Calhoun, LA and his children, David, Eric, Christa and grandchildren, Carlie, Marley and Miles: one brother, Gene Bates and wife Brenda of Roswell, GA and their children, Todd Bates of Destin, FL, Bryan Bates of Atlanta, GA.
Mrs. Lyles is preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Lyles; and a son, Eric Brent Roy.
