Mr. Ricky Smith, age fifty-eight, of Bastrop, LA passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. He worked in maintenance for Morehouse Parish School Board System and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. Mr. Smith enjoyed fishing, loved his dogs “Baby Girl” and “Kalise”. Mr. Smith loved spending time with family and friends. He was a beloved husband and devoted father who will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Turnbow; daughters, Brandie Van and husband William, Kellie Evans and husband Derrick; sister, Phyllis Price; brother, Ben Mangum; grandchildren, William Turnbow, Floyd Van, Adam Stephens, Austin Stephens, Gary Young, Jr, Annie Young; and numerous great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Jeenie Norvell, Vercie Ann Norvell, Loretta Vercy, Jackie Norevll, and Floyd Norvell, Jr.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Ray Smith and Phyllis Jean Colvin.
