Pauline, I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you, the family and friends who will have a huge void in their hearts and lives. May God help you to fill that void with all the wonderful memories you have of Venoy until the day you are together again.
Although I never knew Venoy well, I do have memories of him coming up to Clara’s antique mall. And those memories are of fun and laughter! He was always making us laugh!

The passing of Venoy Kinniard is a great loss to his family and our area. On my way to the Vester Place Farm, which is a few miles from Venoy's sweet potato sheds, I would see Venoy on the side of the Siddon Road keeping an eye on planting and harvesting his sweet potatoes. I would often stop and chat for a few minutes. A year or so ago we were talking about past events. One of the events he spoke about was the good times we had over the years at the Ducks Unlimited and Wild Turkey Banquets.
From the Paul Wiggins family (Paul, Lynn, Dan & Tim) to the Venoy family, we are sorry for your loss and may God be with you.

Venoy was always there when my family needed him. He was such a good friend to my daddy, when we lost daddy in October he was the first at the house to give us comfort. May God wrap his arms around his family. Heaven has received a beautiful Angel. Love Melodie Venable Bradley

Mr. Kinnard will truly be missed. My father, David Lee "Gator" Evans, has worked for the Kinnard family for almost 30 years. I remember countless times I've pulled up to The Shop looking for Daddy "Gator", & there's Mr. Kinnard saying, "Gator, your baby is here or Gator, this young lady out here says she's your daughter." My sincerest thoughts, prayers, and condolences to The Kinnard Family during their time of sorrow and grief. He will be missed by many..
With Love Sent,
Chiquita Davis

There is no doubt this man will be missed by the community, his family and the lives he touched in so many ways. I didn't know him that well, but it felt like I did. He made me laugh at the stories he had to tell of my uncle, who was his best friend in the day - George Alton. If I began to say anything about George Alton, he could finish the sentence. I feel honored to know Jennifer and have watched him and his wife watch his grandsons play ball.

As a child, I remember him grilling each year at the Kinnaird Reunion; held on the hottest day in August, the heat never deterred him in providing grilled meats for the table. My sympathies to the family.

I called Venoy several months ago and, as always, when he saw my name come up on his phone, he answered, “Norman.” Since high school we always greeted each other by our dad’s names. He always called me Norma and I always called him Julian. In high school we often went back to his house in Jones after school and would eat a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter. I was never good at staying in touch, but always kept up, as best I could, with him and knew of many of his endeavors and things he was involved in. He was, beyond a doubt, so well known, respected, and had incalculable numbers of friends. Venoy was a special person in every way. We will all miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with Pauline and all the family. Royce
