I attended West Monroe High School with Wanda. I loved working on the Rebel Dispatch with her. She was smart and creative. I was new to West Monroe and Wanda was very kind to me.

I met Wanda in a Broadcasting class at NLU in 1974 and remained good friends with her ever since. We had many conversations about The Lord, so I know she’s in heaven now checking on her daddy. My deepest condolences to her mother and family. I’ll miss you, Wanda.

I am so sad and shocked to hear of Wanda’s passing. The first time I meet her was when we were both very young at one of our family reunions there at the park in Bastrop(my maternal grandmother was a Bearden). All through the years we would talk from time to time. She was just always the sweetest person with a wonderful personality. My thoughts and prayers are to all the family.

I am so sorry to hear this! Wanda and I worked together in radio in New Orleans years ago. She was a little older and more established. I thought she was the coolest lady I knew. We reconnected on Facebook and I always enjoyed messaging with her. I had hoped to see her again on this planet. Prayers for your family, Wanda. You will be missed.
