Obituary of Clarris Johns

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Clarris Johns are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Scott Petrus officiating. Mrs. Johns was born June 3, 1927 to Lydia and John Hicks. She passed away peacefully on August 12, 2020, at the age of ninety-three. She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Johns who she married on March 14, 1946; her parents; eight sisters; 1 brother; and two sons-in-law, Dr. Walter Gaster and Shawn Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Nina Gaster, of Ada, OK, Bonnie Henderson, and her husband Larry, of Jemison, AL, and Dana Wilson, of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Alice Caudle, of Shreveport, LA and Cathy Sanford, of Rayville, LA; one brother, Wesley Hicks, of Rayville, LA; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson on the way.
