Obituary of Bobby Alan King

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Bobby Alan King, age 75, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Bro. Bobby Porter and Bro. Kendall Patrick officiating. Mr. King, a United States Air Force veteran, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020. He will be remembered as a joyful soul and was referred to as a “Social Butterfly” because of how much of a people person he was, and how much he loved to talk. He loved his family dearly and was so proud of each and every one of them. His son-in-law held a special place in his heart. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Mr. King is survived by his daughter, Tammy Sebren and husband Mike; son, Chris King and wife Julie; sister, Brenda Hicks and husband David; brothers, Purvis King and wife Barbara, Leonard Farrar and wife Mickey, Thomas Farrar and wife Sharon; special friend he loved like a daughter, Barbara Burchell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom he was so proud of and cherished. He is preceded in death by his wife Bea King; step-dad, Leonard M. Farrar; mother, Bessie Mae Farrar; brothers, Billy King, Randy Farrar and infant daughter, Starlett Ann King. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Oak Woods Home for the Elderly and Dr. Joseph Walters and his staff for taking such good care of our Pops.
