Memorial services for Mr. Blake Lee Evans are scheduled for 3:00 PM, Monday, August 17, 2020, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Mr. Evans, a resident of New Roads, LA, was born October 11, 1971, and passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020, at the age of forty-eight. He is preceded in death by his father, Huey Evans and paternal grandparents, L.A. Evans Sr. and Louise Evans, and maternal grandparents, Henry Morrison Garrett and Olga Blair Garrett. He is survived by his mother, Jane Evans; son, Ashton Evans, of Bastrop, LA; his love, Laurie Rando, of New Roads, LA; brothers, Craig Evans, and wife Regina of Bastrop, LA and Brent Evans, of New Roads, LA; nephew, Lee Evans, and his daughter Molly Marie Evans; Lee's fiancé, Kari Colvin and her daughter, Madison; niece, Samantha Muro, and husband Brandon, and their son, Wyatt; and grand-daughter, Angelle Guillory. Blake grew up in Bastrop La and was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. He attended Bastrop High School, and then ULM. He moved to New Roads, LA, where he fell in love with the Cajun culture. He had diverse talents and interests, working in the medical field in EMT/nursing, and also as a craftsman/welder. Blake loved life and enjoyed socializing and visiting with friends and family. He had an easy going and fun personality. He never met a stranger and always had a smile for others. Blake enjoyed music, water sports, and rooting for LSU. He was most proud of his family, especially his son Ashton. Blake will be remembered for his love and passion for life and his passing surely leaves less happiness in this world.
