Obituary of Dorothy Vivian Simington

Private graveside funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Vivian Simington, age 89, were held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Simington, a homemaker, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020. She was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church, Sterlington, LA. She was a beloved mother, grand mother and great grandmother. We will miss her happy laughter and love for life. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Sheppard and husband Don; son, Ron Sasser and wife Sandra; sister, Freddie Andrews; sister-in-law, Linda Simpson; four grandchildren, Charles Martin, Candida Martin, Jason Sasser and wife Debbie, Justin Sasser and wife Heather; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Martin, Brady Sasser, Ruthanne Sasser and Isaac Sasser; two, great-great-grandchildren, Alexia Martin and Leham Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Simington is preceded in death by her husband Lionel Simington; parents, Fred and Winnie Simpson; her brother Doug Simpson; and great-grandson, Joseph Martin.
