Funeral services for Mrs. Reba Wiggins, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, October 3, 2020 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. Vic Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiggins, a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal faith, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the age of ninety. She was a true homemaker who loved cooking, canning and quilting. Mrs. Wiggins also enjoyed going garage selling with her sister “Mae”. Mrs. Wiggins children will fondly remember the “art” of her grocery lists.
She is survived by her daughter, Opal Glass Carter and husband Vic; son, Wayne R. Jones; grandchildren, Dewayne Glass and wife Sue, Randy Ainsworth and wife Jamie; David Jones and wife Barbara; sisters, Patsy Smith, Mary Ann “Mae” Wooten; and special friend and neighbor, Bertha Johnson.
Mrs. Wiggins is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Lilly Blanch Paul; husband, Ira Wiggins; children, David Leon Jones, Bobbie Sue Jones, Donnie Sue Paul; siblings, Hallion Paul, R.L. Paul, James K. Paul, Bonnie Wooten, and Jennie Drurey.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Roger McIntyre, Curtis Gilliland, Dewayne Glass, Josh Elkins, Larry Druery, and Rod Druery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 1 PM - 2 PM service time at Golden Funeral Home.
