Ann Herren Franklin was born January 6, 1933 to Reuben Dougal and Minnie Florence Herren in Utica, Mississippi, and died peacefully from this life on October 1, 2020 in Monroe, Louisiana at the young age of eighty-seven. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ where she taught Bible classes and carried out many duties of a Christian woman, wife, mother, and grandmother. Ms. Franklin enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. She loved nothing more than spoiling her great-grand kids!! Ms. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles Ray Franklin, Sr.; daughters, Debra Franklin Eubanks and Cheryl Franklin Tanksley; parents, Reuben Dougal Herren and Minnie Florence Herren; brothers, Milton, R.D, and Ralph Herren; sisters, Doris Greer, Margaret Boyd, and Julia Prevost. She is survived by her son, Charles Ray Franklin, Jr.; sons-in-law, Ken Eubanks and Terry Tanksley; brother, Henry Herren, and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Josh Tanksley and wife Melissa, Natalie Schutz and husband Jeff, Danielle Boone and husband Nick, Laura Smith and husband Brannon, Allison Lankford and husband Josh; great-grandchildren Caleb Tanksley, Shyla Tanksley, Micah Smith, Mason Smith, Conley Schutz, Abigail Lankford, Peyton Tanksley, Emberlee Schutz, Ann-Marie Smith, Jude Lankford, and Ethan Tanksley. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Terry Tanksley, Ken Eubanks, Jeff Schutz, Brannon Smith, Caleb Tanksley, and Micah Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Davis, David Glasgow, and Melvin Eubanks Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the Bastrop Church of Christ, with Mr. Waymon Swain officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM, until service time.
