Obituary of Glenda Sue Matheny Reynolds

Memorial services for Mrs. Glenda Reynolds will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, October 13, at Bastrop Church of Christ. Mrs. Glenda Sue Matheny Reynolds was born June 23, 1947 and passed from this earth October 7, 2020 at the age of seventy-three. She loved to crochet, read, sew, bake, and watch western TV shows like Gunsmoke and the Rifleman. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed eating plums and the soup at Granny’s. She also loved traveling but her passion was genealogy. Mrs. Reynolds is preceded in death by her father, Claude T. Matheny, Jr.; sister, Phyllis Matheny Dell, and niece, Audra Lynn Matheny. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Richard Reynolds; daughter, Shelley Reynolds Washam and husband Kevin; son, Shane Reynolds and wife Pam; mother, Marcile Matheny; grandchildren, Emily Washam Garner and husband Paul Michael, Jordan Washam, Jonathan Washam, Lauren Reynolds Smith and husband Logan, and Ryan Reynolds; great grandchildren, Ruby Garner, and Rhett Michael Garner; sister, Connie Matheny Reynolds and husband Michael; brother, Charles Matheny and wife Katie; special extended family, Phillip and April Lester and son, Caden , Scotty and Donna Townsend; and an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
