Memorial funeral services for Mr. Walter DeLeon, age 79, are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Golden Funeral Home with Pastor Richard White officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until 2 PM prior to service time Saturday.
Mr. DeLeon is an Apostle at the River Riders Covenant Church. He loved motorcycles, race cars, horses, reading and spoiling Kathy Faye.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy DeLeon; daughters, Shada Hamilton and husband Chad, Janice Smith and husband Audie, Linda Hackfeld and husband Mark; son, Basil J.J. Whitaker III and wife Missy; brothers, Eugene DeLeon and wife Mary, John DeLeon and wife Sally; brothers-in-law, Mearl Harper and wife Donna, James Harper and wife Rita; grandchildren, Christopher DeLeon, Shyla Tanksley, Jackson Whitaker, Asher Whitaker, Nathan Smith, Evan Smith, Hadyn Bishop, Averie Bishop, and Zachary Hackfeld; great grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Tyler Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. DeLeon is preceded in death by his daughters, Sheena Knight and Kelly DeLeon and brother, William DeLeon.
