Obituary of Elmer Jr. Pennington

Memorial funeral services for Mr. Elmer Pennington, Jr., age 74, are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Golden Funeral Home with Bro. John McGregor officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 10 AM service time. Mr. Pennington, an over the road truck driver, went home on Thursday, October 22, 2020. He attended New Life Church of Bastrop, LA. He was a wonderful Cook and he loved farming, fishing, hunting and enjoying road trips with his best pal, Laurie. His favorite pastime was enjoying time with all of his family that was dear to his heart. He is survived by his daughters, Renee Pennington Pollock of Bastrop, LA, Amanda West and husband Tim of Warren, AR; sons, Carson Pennington of Warren, AR, Alvin Pennington of Bastrop, LA, and Joey Pennington of Montgomery, AL, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Mr. Pennington is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Sr. and Beatrice Pennington; son, Carl Pennington; brothers, Dennis, Jerry and Thomas Pennington; sisters, Anita Chance, Josephine Pennington Hearnsberger and granddaughter, Ashley Chance.
